By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

• Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and optional display name through email authentication. You can also use the App as a guest using anonymous authentication, which creates a temporary identifier without requiring any personal information.
• Audio Recordings: When you use the transcription feature, we process your audio recordings to convert speech to text. Audio is processed in real-time and is not stored permanently on our servers.
• Audio File Uploads: You can upload audio files from your device for transcription. These files are processed by our AI providers and are not permanently retained on our servers.
• Notes and Content: We store the notes, transcriptions, summaries, highlights, and tags you create within the App.
• User Preferences: Your app settings, theme preferences, and language preferences.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device Information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers.
• Advertising Identifier: Google Advertising ID (used by AdMob for free-tier users only).
• Usage Data: App usage statistics, feature usage patterns, daily and lifetime transcription counts, crash reports, and performance data.
• Analytics Data: Information about how you interact with the App to help us improve user experience.

1.3 Information from Third-Party Services

• Email Authentication: When you sign up with email, Firebase Authentication securely stores your hashed password. We never see or store your plaintext password.
• Payment Information: When you make in-app purchases, payment processing is handled entirely by Google Play. We do not collect or store your payment card details.

4. Data Storage and Security

4.1 Data Storage

• Local Storage: Notes and settings are stored locally on your device using encrypted databases.
• Cloud Storage: If you enable sync, your notes are stored securely in Google Firebase Cloud.
• Audio Data: Audio recordings are processed in real-time and are not permanently stored on external servers.

4.2 Security Measures

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information, including:

• Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
• Secure authentication through Firebase Auth
• Regular security assessments
• Access controls and authentication requirements

5. Advertising

Our App displays advertisements to users on the free tier through Google AdMob. These ads may be personalized based on your interests. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings:

• Android: Open Settings, then Google, then Ads, then Opt out of Ads Personalization.

Premium and Pro subscribers enjoy an ad-free experience. The Remove Ads one-time purchase also disables all advertisements permanently.

Users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland are presented with a consent form (managed via Google User Messaging Platform) before any personalized advertisements are shown.

6. In-App Purchases

Our App offers the following in-app purchases:

• Premium Subscription: USD 2.99 per month, auto-renewing. Includes 50 transcriptions per day, unlimited recording length, and an ad-free experience.
• Pro Subscription: USD 4.99 per month, auto-renewing. Includes unlimited transcriptions, unlimited recording length, an ad-free experience, and priority processing.
• Remove Ads: USD 1.99 one-time purchase. Permanently removes all advertisements.
• AI Task Packs: USD 0.99 consumable purchase. Adds 10 bonus transcriptions to your account.

All payments are processed securely through Google Play. We do not have access to your payment card information.

Subscriptions automatically renew until cancelled. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time:

• From inside the App, on the Premium screen, tap Manage Subscription.
• From Google Play Store, open Account, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions.

7. Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately, and we will take steps to delete such information.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data
• Export: Export your notes and data
• Opt-out: Opt out of personalized advertising

• Delete Account: Open the App, go to Settings, then Account, then Delete Account.
• Export Data: Open the App, go to Settings, then Export, then Export All Notes.
• Contact Us: Email us at the address below with the subject line "Data Request".

9. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes. Audio data sent to AI providers is governed by their own retention policies (typically deleted within 30 days).

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States, where our third-party providers operate. These countries may have different data protection laws. By using our App, you consent to the transfer of your information to these countries.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

• Posting the new Privacy Policy in the App
• Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
• Sending you an in-app notification for significant changes
